Generally we install all the apps to the default OS drive i.e. C drive on windows. But, there comes a point that C drive gets full but you need the software also. We have already data stored linked to data you can not let go of.

In this scenario we can use move app to other drive feature in windows 11. Go to start -> Add / remove programs. We get list of installed apps as below:

Now, click on three dot menu next to app you want to move to the next directory. Which gives below option

Now click on Move, which further shows list of drives where we can transfer the app. In this case, the app is on E drive so it is showing C and D drives where the app can be moved.

Once you select the drive, click on Move. It moves the app to chosen drive. Remember that some preinstalled apps or which need to be in OS drive do not have this option. So we can use this technique for apps which have this option.

This how you can clear some of your drive space by moving apps.
